T line Inbound/ going downtown to the GGU swearing in ceremony: Leila has this thing where she likes to wrap cords, strings, ribbons, and the like around her neck. I certainly don't like it, but it is what it is. A few months back she found some mardi gras beads and she loves them. She wears them all day, and takes them on and off constantly. The plus side is that people don't think she's a boy if she has the beads on. So one day we are one the train and this woman leans over to me, "You should take that necklace off. You think it's cute but it could choke her." I replied, "Thanks for your concern, but she's fine. I don't let her wear it when I am not with her." The woman proceeded to give me the stink eye for the rest of ride.
