Me and the girls will be at the Powell St station to protest potential service cuts and fare hikes on MUNI. Details are at March Against MUNI.
I realize this is the 4th protest my 2 year old has been to (Anti-Prop 8 Rally, Support for Iran, Stop the War), but hey when you live in SF you've got an outlet.
I stumbled across your blog in a search for press for March Against Muni, and I wanted to thank you for your support. I'm a co-organizer of the cause, and I think it's so awesome that you're teaching your children that their opinions count for something and to stand up for themselves. I really wish that my age group (I'm 23) felt more strongly about that, and it feels like it's on the decline instead of the rise. Can't wait to see you there in the protest for Muni reform. We're definitely trying to keep this peaceful, but as always, be safe!
Totally San Francisco, bringing your kids to protests. My daughter went to her first building implosion when she was just a few weeks old. A nice little picnic at Lake Merced while we watched Verducci Hall crumble to the ground.
