48 Quintara/ going for ice cream: After a bit a a fumble to get on the bus we joined a bunch of after school teens on their way through the Mission. We ended up at the hip little Humphry Sclocombe. We got lucky and each got a free scoop as part of a SF Parks promotion. For a second I thought I should skip the extra scoop since I am trying to shake off some weight. But hey, what the heck?The flavors were so funky (in a good way) I had a hard time choosing. Leila chose chocolate again, but what she got was ancho chocolate. She gobbled it up. I had a scoop of kumquat-poppy seed and a scoop of Jesus Juice. "What's that?" you ask. It's red wine ice cream and cola. It was delish.
An added plus was the chance to enjoy sunny Mission weather.
We made it home easily, since Orin's dad met up with us and and added an extra set of hands. I'm already looking forward to next week.
